Hartford Nursing and Rehabilitation

The facility is nice! Some of the staff is professional knowledgeable and compassionate but not enough of them. My aunt is there but our family is there a lot. The food is terrible most days! They are often short staff and will verbalize it rather than be transparent to the love one and family. It's not the worst by far but they can stand to do a lot better. However I'd like to commend staff person. My aunt has been there almost 3 weeks and for the first time her aide came in at the start of her shift introduced herself and asked if my aunt or my mom and I needed anything. She was friendly attentive and compassionate. She got us ice and water and returned to take my aunts vitals which we normally have to ask when they will take them. The employees name is Pracious. Great Staff tending to the needs of Their Patients with loving care 🥰 They are unrated in so far as funding they are deserving of new chairs for guests and furniture 🪑 in rooms I will make them my choice again for my mother’s and my Respite Care for sure !!!!!

Urgent Need for Improved Patient Care I am deeply concerned about the care my mom received at. During her stay, there were multiple instances where her medical and personal needs were not promptly addressed, medications were delayed, assistance with mobility was slow, and her daily comfort often seemed overlooked. Communication with staff and doctors was inconsistent, leaving our family and mom was very upset and uncertain about her health. While the facility is clean and some staff are kind, the overall attention and compassion my mom deserved were lacking. I strongly urge that these issues are address these issues to ensure patients receive the care and respect they deserve.

My mom stayed there for about 5 days. That place is horrible and I feel so bad I let my mom go there. First off her very first day there she had to search the hallway and wonder around just to get some water. My mom can barely walk. She hardly received water. I had to come up there to bring her water. Then she has food allergies which were ignored. So most days she went hungry when I found out I brought her food. Then this is what I saw for myself. I witnessed two patients at two different times in the hallway screaming for help. I watched as staff walked right by these patients and totally ignored them. And they were screaming for quite some time. Then on the fifth day I visited I saw that she was very sick and alerted the staff , no one cared. I packed my mom's stuff up and she was tr

UPDATE: When my mom first came home her left arm, the one that’s flaccid, was in pain. Her doctor chalked it up to arthritis, but after three months of being home, we found out that after her last fall at the nursing home, her upper arm had been broken down to her elbow and never treated. This is my last update. UPDATE: She’s back in the hospital from the poor care that she received at this facility. I am beyond heartbroken and feel immense guilt for choosing this place. No family should ever have to go through this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. It may look nice but it’s hell. There are reasons why they have a 2.5 on Caring.com. If I could give zero negative stars, I would. My mother was sent here after a stroke, completely unable to walk or care for herself, and this facility
