The only reason I’m giving one star is because Dr. Modwel is truly one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. I have the utmost respect for her care and expertise, but I’ve had a very disappointing experience since she joined HHC. About six months ago, I saw her and followed her recommendation to continue care at her new office. Recently, I called the new location to request a prescription refill. I was informed that I might need to be seen but that they would call me if necessary or send the prescription otherwise. Unfortunately, neither of these happened. When I followed up, I was told there was no record of my call, despite providing the date, time, and duration of the conversation. Being a longtime patient of Soundview medical At this time Hartford healthcare acquired them last year or merged with them. I went in fir my normal physical which went well The problem arises when they asked if I wanted a shingle shot , in which I asked is it covered under Medicare they said yes apparently not & $290 later. It seems the staff was dishonest to me to get a $290 Shingle shot were I could of gotten one at Walgreens for $25.00. I have disputed the charge it seems it’s all about making money at this outfit !!!

I go to Dr. Slava Kulakov. Nicest person, listened to me, ask good questions. When my blood work came in, he called me right away. His actions helped and detecting prostate cancer. My only regret, is not seeing him earlier. Good man.

This office has the rudest staff ever, consistently. It’s wild to me they haven’t gotten into trouble w the uppers of HHC yet
