On Friday, 3/7/26 I arrive around 8pm into Ben Taub ER and realized bentaub emergency room has improved dramatically! And I truly believe The nurse and her crew ( Chad) on duty tonight from 8pm is fabulous and has love for humanity. I truly believe this great cause of the dramatically improvement is due to nurses and their crew as well. This crew that night were heros in action. She work with empathy and love. Not once did I see her sit until it slow for a minute or two then she was on the move again. She was making sure patient were being admitted, vital were taken, she delt with EMS and all who came into the ER. She and her crew made sure the patients were admitted and seen in adequate amount of time. I didn't get her name because I was ill and wasn't thinking well. I do have a pict
Updated: I am writing this review to warn others about the appalling level of care, incompetence, and hostility at Ben Taub Hospital. My experience here has been a nightmare. Discriminatory Treatment and Security Harassment: As a Hispanic, transgender patient, I have been treated with hostility. Security personnel have repeatedly harassed me and threatened me with arrest regarding my documented service animal, a blatant violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). When I reported this to the Patient Advocate team, they dismissed my concerns. Persistent Misgendering and Disrespect: Despite presenting my passport/driver's license showing female, and repeatedly requesting to be called 'Gio' or by female pronouns, staff continue to deliberately misgender me by using male pronouns (
my mom came here couple years back didnt have a good expiernce AT ALL! thought id check to see the reviews maybe thinking its better boy was i wrong, some match out with my moms horrible experience, She came here for a surgery, She was in a coma for 13 days when she woke up they didn’t wanna provide her ice chips that i do believ were ordered by the docter to be given. We saw what looked to be a perfect circle burn mark on her arm more so by her wrist and there was a time I went to go visit her and a male nurse was consistently walking past to where it was a little weird yes i know they go from place to place but for him to pass by and looking toward my mom almost everytime is weird ( id glance toward him and almost everytime i caught it) I decided to kind of creep a little to his point of
I visited this hospital today and was the worse experience ever by far. This saddens me that healthcare has come to this. As a nurse and NP student Ive seen why healthcare is failing the people. I went for bilateral arm swelling, the nurse in the consultation room looked and said “your arms are not swollen”. I showed her my arms and explained that they were and they were warm to the touch, and it was so swollen my skin was tight. It was like she did not want to treat me. Another thing, I never seen a provider, so shame on Malook, Sabeen, PA! For writing a note as if you seen me. Since when is it ok to falsify charting. I should have walked out this place the moment the nurse dismiss my concerns, she barely wanted to assess my arms. And to top it off at discharge my paperwork was given/mist
First time ever going to Ben taub. Spent about 8 hours in the ER. Everyone from customer service to all of the doctors were fantastic. Very clean facility. All the nurses were very kind to explain procedures being done ( eye issue and diabetes).
