Harborview Health Center West Altamonte

My father was placed here for a 4 day respite stay while I was out of town by the veterans affairs. I made it very clear to the staff that my father needed to drink water daily. When I returned to pick him up, I was horrified. He was not wearing an adult diaper, he was still in the same clothes he had been wearing 4 days prior, and his clean clothes were untouched in his bag. He smelled terrible, had not been given a bath, and was lying on bedding stained with feces. To make matters worse, the staff failed to return his life saving medication when I was ready to leave. Only after I became stern did they suddenly “find” it. This is completely unacceptable. This facility has gotten my mother to the point where she can return home safely. I cannot thank their hard working staff from physical therapy Dr's to nurses to some of the CNAs. Most in here truly care about their patients.

After literally having a near death experience at another place I was sent here. I can't thank staff here enough. The therapists were very open to my feelings, the staff responded to my needs with reassurance and pushing when I needed it. My therapists were skilled and knowledgeable. Can't recommend the people here enough

A relative has been is in this facility for 5 days. She's ignored constantly, never given her meds on time, sitting in urine up to 3 hours at a time with bed sores. There was no availability of a phone in her room for 2 days and her cellphone had no service at all! She was moved to a different room that still has no working room phone. Her meds were supposed to be brought to her by 2 people (staff or nurses), so they weren't confused with another patient again! No, only one comes. I called 6 times in a row to the office to somehow speak to my relative. I kept getting hung up on. Finally I got the floor nurse ( who NEVER calls you back). She said " you know your sister is confused don't you?". NO she isn't. Items taken from her room. She just argues about my sister. She went in
