I have never felt the need to write or post a review of anything before, but today I felt compelled to share my experience at Harbor Eye…the office itself is clean and modern, and the staff at the desk were kind and friendly. The doctor that I saw was Dr. Ford, and he was really kind, personable and patient. He took his time talking with me, explaining my test results and asking me questions that no other eye doctor has ever taken the time to ask. He understood my concerns about the cost of contacts, and took that into consideration when giving me a free pair to try out over the next week. He told me to call the office back to tell him if I liked them and wanted to order a full set or try something else. He even offered to help me with a rebate to make the contacts more affordable. In the past I loved Harbor Eye, they were so friendly and helpful through the worst times with my eye and issues that kept reoccurring. I've been going to them for over 15 years. Fast forward to my latest recent visits and last visit over an issue with my eye and they were so rushed the provider practically had his hand on my back pushing me out the door, he had neither the time or inclination to answer my question or address my concerns. I certainly won't be going back and I will purchase my eyeglasses elsewhere. I still have no idea what's going on with my eye except it's dry, has scratches (their words) and why it's blurry 24/7.

Called to see when the next available appointment was available and they got me in the same day. The reception person was very helpful and understanding, me being a new patient. Wasn't there but a few minutes and they did there eye exam, The doctor was very helpful and explained everything in plain terms. My circumstances were different and then went and got my frames. the person there was also very helpful and understanding. They are LGBTQ friendly and very understanding. Definitely recommend them and will continue to use them in the future.

Went there and paid for an exam and glasses In the exam the Dr spoke about his brother in law and how he said bifocals are for old people and how he convinced his brother in law that he needed them. He told me I needed them. I went to pick up the glasses and put them on and couldn't see anything up close. I asked the lady I thought I was supposed to get bifocals....how am I supposed to see the speedometer when I am driving? She said oh just left the glasses up to see....I asked what happened to the bifocals??? She said oh there is nothing here about you needing bifocals....if you want to pay for a new exam and glasses we can set that up....I told her no thanks....Then they called in Dec to say they needed to reschedule my yearly appointment and I told her oh it is a good thing you called b

Friendliest doctor and very knowledgeable. That said, the glasses I got were going to need to be sent to the west coast because I moved out of New York. When I received the glasses they still had the marker writing on the lenses. That was difficult to remove until I tried alcohol. The glasses are useless. I cannot see up close with them. (I'm far sighted) I got the exact same frames as last time and they used them for comparison, still they did not produce a pair of glasses I could use. I asked for the anti reflective coating and that was not applied. I also got a matching pair of sunglasses. They are fine aside from not having the anti reflective coating. It cost me a lot of money on top of my insurance bill and I am still wearing my old glasses so I can see. Why wouldn't they take the ti
