Dr side performed an Ablation on my husband which was successful. And then because he told us he was not a canidate for a macro pacemaker placed a traditional pacemaker the day after the Ablation. When we returned to the office to check on the device the Medtronic Rep said one of the leads was not connected, and Dr side verified that, but said my husband had a strong heart beat and not to worry. Well 6 months later that pacemaker got infected and had to be removed. Because of the infection he contracted Pnuemonia and Septic Shock. After being hospitalized for 5 weeks and to a rehab facility for another 11 weeks , because of complications of the sepsis he was declining and he returned to hospital for another 10 days. The nurse practitioner, Mallory, is very nice and professional. She even tried with the Boston Scientific Rep to pull my husband up in the wheelchair, because he was very uncomfortable! She is exceptional!!!!

My 80-year-old mother had a Watchman and ablation procedure performed through this office. Since the procedure, no one from this office followed up to check on her condition. She began having post-procedure complications and we have been calling since Tuesday trying to speak with a doctor or nurse. Despite multiple calls, no Dr. or Nurse returned our calls or addressed her concerns. Because we could not get any medical guidance or response, we were left with no choice but to seek care through the ER. This is not what any patient especially an elderly one —should experience after a serious cardiac procedure.
