Halifax Health Wellness Center

I joined the Wellness Center a couple of years ago after I retired. Because it is a bit of a drive for me, I decided to try a newer facility closer to my home earlier this year. However, after a couple of weeks at the new place, I returned to Halifax. I am 70 years old and have various orthopedic issues. The staff, including Lynn and Pete, are very attentive and approachable. I can ask them questions at any time, and they are understanding of my challenges, ensuring they don’t push me beyond what is safe. They have even recommended physicians to me when I discussed some difficulties I was experiencing. Without the Wellness Center for my workouts, I believe I would have stopped exercising altogether.

I'm extremely impressed with the Fitness Center at Halifax Hospital. Lynn the manager is an amazing asset to Halifax. She's always willing to help and go the extra step. She is friendly, kind and very encouraging She never makes you feel like you are a bother. I was going to change insurance companies but it wouldn't have included this Fitness Center and because of that I decided to stay and not change my insurance, so I could stay at this Fitness Center because of the attention that you're given and the cleanlines of the gym. The staff is extremely friendly and the Fitness Center is very clean and always kept in an orderly fashion. Thanks to all, especially Lynn.

The Halifax Health Fitness Center is well-managed and well-maintained. There is a wide variety of fitness equipment and the staff is always ready to help. It is a family atmosphere where patrons get to know each other, and in many cases become friends. It is a perfect place for older patrons to maintain their health without competing with younger crowds for equipment.

I have been a member of the Halifax Health Wellness Center for almost a month and I highly recommend it. First off and most important to me- it's clean and quiet. It's not the fanciest in terms of being upgraded in style but I'll take clean over fancy any day. They have maintained their facilities well over the years. It is not a large gym but it is well spaced and offers a few secluded sections for personal stretching, barre bars, rowing, etc. The variety of equipment meets and exceeds my desires. There is a machine to satisfy every need; plenty of cardio equipment- unique ones too and a vast array of weighted machines. They have a Smith machine, a weighted bench press, and free weights. Excellent gym. I have been coming to this gym since 2019 when Amy was here. I enjoy this gym it's very good and use of ease of equipments. Excellent and high quality staff. Like another person said the Halifax gym is like my own home personal gym. I appreciate this gym in the community.
