Hampton Roads Foot and Ankle Specialist

My husband broke his third toe early yesterday morning and we went to urgent care and they told us to follow up with a podiatrist. They didn't do much at urgent care but wrap it so we wanted to find someone quickly. After calling more than 5 offices, we were able to get an appointment within a few hours. The staff were helpful and friendly and Dr. Piotrowski was exceptional in every way. She made a difficult situation tolerable and showed compassion that I have not seen with many doctors. She even called today to check on him. I am baffled by the negative reviews because we did not see any of this, especially because I have been a part of the medical profession for a long time and know how hard it is to find a good doctor that will listen to you and actually take time with you. I really liked my doctor, but the rest of my experience has been terrible. For one thing, I have yet to speak to a human. Optum tried to get hold of them with a question about my prescription and got no response, and finally asked me to try. I left a voice message AND a message on their website and got nothing. Therefore my prescription was never filled. Now I need to cancel my follow-up appointment and left two voice messages asking them to call me back to acknowledge that they received my messages, and of course have gotten no response. I would not recommend this practice.

***The issue with our refund has been resolved. I was given a refund directly through the business about a week after getting BBB involved. **Still waiting for my refund from where I was overcharged. Told in March they only mailed checks once a month. Please, avoid this office if at all possible. *Update a week after the appt, where I was significantly overcharged. As soon as I left the appointment I called my insurance and verified that I was only supposed to be charged $50. My insurance then called on my behalf and got absolutely no where. I now have to have insurance fight for my refund because the office manager is too busy to return my phone call and explain why I was charged more than double for my son's appointment. Very shady stuff going on billing wise for this office. **Be awa

I love going there it is so fun for me it is the best to see everybody in the office and hang out there in my mom’s room! And when I hurt my foot or break my ankle (which I have now) I just get to go in and get an X ray! It’s amazing. If you come go with my mom! (Dr.Bouraee)

Dr. Belock took care of an issue my son was having with his foot. He was kind, informative, and patient. He took his time and answered all our questions and walked us through the procedure he needed to do. The team was able to work with insurance to get the procedure authorized and everyone we encountered was friendly.
