Hackettstown Family Dental

So I called this place to ask for prices and the receptionist was just nasty. $500 for a cleaning??. They are ridiculous. They think people are banks or what ? No customer service whatsoever and rude in general. For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend this place. They charge $229 for a cleaning for a 2 year old ? Like are you serious ? I don’t understand how people run businesses with such uneducated staff. I couldn’t even finish asking my question when she hung up on me.

Super nice, not judgemental. I was very scared going because my teeth are in bad shape, and my last dentist experience at another dentist was extremely negative. The lovely ladies in this office were all very kind and reassuring. I'm very pleased with this dentist and wouldn't consider going anywhere else

Very rude and accusatory to both me and my mother as we tried to resolve a simple misunderstanding regarding my insurance coverage. They supposedly contacted me multiple times yet I only received one phone call and 2 automated texts that did not indicate there was anything needing resolution in terms of my coverage. When my mom tried to call to help me figure out the problem, the woman on the other end was immediately rude to my mom insisting it was our fault. Even when my mom tried to move on from arguing and make things right in order for me to be seen, the woman at the other end dug her heels in insisting I was in the wrong for a simple misunderstanding. My family and I have been patients at Hackettstown Dental for over 10 years. Today, I called to have our records transferred to a new dental provider. I was not asked for a reason, and the receptionist seemed unbothered by the fact that four long-standing patients were leaving. Unfortunately, this lack of care is consistent with the overall decline in the quality of service we’ve experienced over the past few years. I’ve previously voiced concerns about a dental hygienist who was consistently rough during cleanings, but I doubt those concerns were ever escalated to the appropriate person. In addition, the front desk staff often appears disengaged. The receptionist does not greet patients when arriving and seems bothered when you stand at the window to ask a question.
