Today I was at Hackensack Hospital for a CT scan. I had an appointment scheduled for 6:00 AM, but I was only seen at 7:20 AM. They have terrible management, because the service is awful, and it's absurd to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for a CT scan. When you ask what's happening, they just say "we're a little behind. You'll be seen in a few minutes." And they keep making you wait. When I said I was leaving and wouldn't be doing the scan anymore, they told me I would be seen in 5 minutes. But I still waited another 11 minutes, and only when I was asking for my papers to leave did they finally call me. When I was finally seen, the CT scan itself only took 5 minutes. Something is very wrong, because there weren't that many people there to be seen for me to have to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes. So

Excellent attention and great service from the night team, especially Jorge Escobar who made my MRI he was very helpful and kind with me. I truly appreciate it.

I'm currently sitting in the MRI department, and I'm compelled to share my frustrating experience. The staff here seem to be struggling to find a suitable vein for a contrast MRI on a 10-year-old child. They're attempting to access veins on the top of the fingers, which is not only painful but also unnecessary. A more suitable location could be the antecubital fossa (inner elbow) or even a vein on the forearm. It's concerning that the staff appear to lack experience in pediatric care, particularly when it comes to something as crucial as administering contrast dye. The treatment of children in this department is subpar, and it's clear that they need more training in this area. Do yourself a favor people and don’t go to this place. We had an appointment at 12 my little one. She had not eaten for more than 12 hours she was frustrated and hungry and wanted to eat. All paperwork was filled out and were still about 2 hours in the waiting room. Forget this one next issue is the anesthesiologist blond hair lady she was a cold blooded person. My husband got very frustrated and mentioned we were waiting forever. She took it as a revenge and was trying to put my daughter’s IV in her foot. When i literally mentioned her veins are easily seen on the arm. She kept doing it and blood was gushing out of her foot. After all this screaming and crying she found her vein very easy on the arm. Please people for your own wellbeing do not go here stay away.

I have a prescription from my doctor to do a mri, and the insurance also approved it. But the radiology department insist me to do a mammogram first, which my surgeon told me I can not undergo a mammogram! There are many different imaging methods to examine, but the radiologist here may feel that all other doctors are wrong, and if you want to get a scan here you can only get a certain one according to his/ her idea. And one of my friend wanted to get a cardiac ultrasound at this location but didn’t allow her either. I guess this place is just too busy so they reject with no reason.
