I never thought I would write a review like this, but our experience with Hackensack Pediatric was extremely disappointing. It took three months to receive my children’s medical records. Early on, someone from the office called to ask why we were leaving the practice. I explained it was due to staff rudeness and specifically mentioned an employee named Carmen. Weeks later, the same person called again and said they could not release any records until Dr. Moe approved them, which delayed my child’s next checkup with a new pediatrician. Never mentioned to pay fees at the beginning of..! When the new office requested the records directly, Hackensack Pediatric kept giving different excuses—at one point saying they were waiting on an insurance claim, which made no sense and had nothing to do

We have had such a wonderful experience at Hackensack Pediatrics. We saw Dr. Mira, and she is absolutely adorable and so friendly. She takes her time explaining everything clearly and makes you feel completely comfortable asking questions. You never feel rushed, and she truly listens. Dr. Mo is equally amazing. He is incredibly patient and genuinely cares about his patients. One time, he even stayed after office hours for our baby’s emergency visit, which meant so much to us as parents. He answers every question with care and patience, and you can tell he is truly passionate about his work. The entire staff is fantastic. The front desk team is warm and welcoming, and the nurses are wonderful, especially when answering the emergency line. They respond quickly and connect you with a doctor

Dr. Mohammed Tantawi (Dr. Mo) is an amazing pediatrician! He takes the time to answer all our questions without rushing us, and yet he is on time and efficient for all his appointments. His rapport with our son is so natural and sweet to see. When we were pregnant, Dr. Mo sat with us and another couple to give a free after hours newborn parenting class, which was priceless. It gave us the information and confidence to be the best first time parents. We are so happy to have chosen Dr. Mo and his practice—the team there is so kind and welcoming too!

My son came here from birth to 1 years old, throughout that time the appearance of the office is appalling and not child friendly, the examination table was taped up and not even a picture of a fish on the wall which you would expect from a pediatrician. the front desk people would yell out your personal billing information for the whole waiting room to see, the nurse was rude constantly, and the nurse practitioner was forcing early intervention and suggesting I was lying about my sons milestones. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because it was convenient to my home and they at least gave him the vaccination that he needed hence the reason why they received a two star. I have been bringing my son to Hackensack Pediatrics since he was just a week old, and now, at 2.9 years old, it truly feels like a second home for us. From the moment we walk in, the entire staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming. Even my son notices—during a recent sick visit, he excitedly told me he wanted to say hi to “the happy ladies” at the front desk! The doctors are incredibly kind, patient, and gentle with him. He’s had his share of shots here, and while he remembers them, he never feels afraid—just curious about what to expect. That level of trust and comfort speaks volumes about the care they provide. We genuinely love Hackensack Pediatrics and are so grateful for the amazing team that makes every visit a positive experience. Thank you!
