Hackensack Meridian Urgent Care - Toms River

The staff is very friendly. The wait sometimes can be up to >2 hours at some points but you can always call ahead and ask the wait time. I recommend coming early. Plenty of parking. Free water, free tissue packs, free masks and they were handing out free ice packs one time aswell. The staff is so nice. They genuinely enjoy the work they do. I have been there many times and every time the staff was beyond impressive. One time they called me asking if I’m doing better and it’s just so sweet. Amazing people. I believe his name was, John. But he was so nice and I’m beyond satisfied.

I came down with the flu on Monday 12/29. By wed 12/31 my temperature was 103. Around 330 pm I reluctantly decided to go to this urgent care to see if they could help. I say reluctantly because several years ago I had a negative experience at this location. Walked in and waiting room was empty. One staff person on the phone on what sounded like a personal call..after a couple minutes she hung up.. told her i had the flu and 103 temperature. She walked to the back. Came back and said I need to go to ER. I didn't feel up to arguing what then is urgent care's job so said ok. But asked if they could at least take my temperature. She walked to the back again. A guy name John came out and said again I need to go to ER. I again said OK but asked to confirm my temperature. He said " all the th

Brought my 2 sick kids there, reserved time slot for 12/ 12:15, they were not seen for 3 hours and 27 minutes! I did call and spoke to the receptionist and she was aware of how sick my daughter was. They let my 6 year old sit there with 103.5 fever. Finally after almost 4 hours they were seen and had the flu. Normally don't have any issues with this office. But please come up with a better system for children.

Took my baby here. They misdiagnosed him with an ear infection and prescribed antibiotics that he shouldn’t have been on. Then they took a respiratory panel and sent to the lab. They said they would get back to me with results in 1-2 days. After a week with no one getting back, I had to call myself and they said they didn’t have results yet. I ended up taking him to another urgent care to get him checked because it was taking so long. Then they sent me a 1300 dollar bill. NEVER EVER GO HERE! TERRIBLE PEOPLE.

I would give the people here an A+ but there is no star. Everyone was very competent and professional. I had a serious injury on my arm which made movement difficult and painful. They were very accommodating and helpful. Much better than most hospital emergency rooms.
