When I went to the Guthrie Lourdes ER last week, I was satisfied with my experience. The wait to be seen was not long, and the triage team was thorough. The staff were all polite and efficient. Tests were done, and I was treated and able to go home in a reasonable amount of time.

Went to the e.r at 2 a.m by ambulance and the staff that was on that night in the waiting room were beyond nice and respectful! I have bad anxiety and I wanted to leave and the lady who checks you in was so sweet and kind and made sure that I was okay, had me talk to the doctor before I left and didn’t make me feel bad for leaving, to say the least, she was very understanding!!

My nurse was wonderful, gentle and caring. She made everything much easier. I tried to joke with my doctor about googling my symptoms, but I think he didn't realize I was kidding. I felt a little like he didn't take me as seriously after. He wasn't unkind or rude. All of the people who helped with Xrays and CT scan were very efficient and soothing. I did not leave with any answer to what happened. I did get a reference to a gastroenterologist, but I did not call, because my insurance recently changed and I am worried about co-pays. I have an appointment coming up with my doctor and will follow up there. My symptoms did not totally go away, but did at least lessen. Overall, it was a far better experience than my previous emergency room visits.

If I could give a zero I would !! From the beginning 2 days before my surgery on the 11th, I get a call from billing they wanted to go over my upcoming surgery and stay. They asked if I was sitting down , the total cost of your surgery and stay is 179,000.00 dollars, your insurance will cover 60 some thousand, but Guthrie will make adjustments, you have a 300 dollar deductible would you like to pay it now or be billed..Why would you do this? Never ever has this been doneto me.Day of surgery came everything good, then the nightmare began ,my Doctor had requested I go to nursing home for pt at my request, the rehab place had a bed for me... The insurance company was still pending approval, PT from Inpatient had me walk , and one day did their so called stairs 2 -3 inch steps on a platform

Although I hate to go to the emergency room, at 1 AM, I had no choice, since it was a medical emergency. Luckily it was not very busy and I was taken in quickly and staff was very attentive. After bloodwork and CT scan results (it took about 3 hours in total) they knew that I had to be catheterized. Unfortunately the the supplies were not available on the floor, but maybe 15 minutes later a nurse brought them in. Two nurses were not able to get the catheter in and then the doctor on duty also tried. ( it was not their fault as I will explain) They brought in the surgeon on call who happened to be the surgeon who operated on me a week before (a stent from kidney to bladder due to a kidney stone) who knew that my bladder neck was unusually small and he used a camera to guide him in inse
