I recently went to the ER and was treated badly even though my blood pressure was 212 over 114. I complined to thd patients advocate who sent a letter back saying it had been reviewed and nothing done. I asked to meet with administration. No. The letter from the advicate was signed using only her first name. I called again and told her signing her name like that was unprofessional. The next day, today in fact I received a call from security that I was not to contact her again. She said cussed her out. I said thats a lie as I recorded the call. I said what a pathetic hospital. Using the rentals to respond. I even told the so called advocate to review the notes my general practitioner added stating treatment was poor. This ER gets a lot of complaints. I left the ER and went to Ar
My recent experience at Guthrie’s Emergency Department was deeply disappointing. I arrived and checked in at approximately 11:30 a.m. and remained in the waiting room for several hours without meaningful updates or care. Despite being told at noon that medication would be administered shortly, no medication or follow-up occurred. What made the situation worse was watching other patients—who arrived later—be seen and discharged while I continued to wait. When I asked to speak with the charge nurse, staff handed me a paper stating I had the right to request this, but no one ever came out to follow up despite repeated assurances. It felt as though the staff were intentionally avoiding accountability rather than providing compassionate, timely care. To add to the frustration, patients were b
I was sent here from the WellNow for scans and a blood draw. I am currently here for over two hours. About a hour in I was taken back to have my vitals done and then sent right back out. Waiting room is freezing cold, too bright, and smells like pee. No complimentary water, I have to overpay to get a bottle out of the vending machine. I’ve watched multiple people who got there later go in before me. Better off taking the trip to Robert Packer where you’ll be taken seriously and wait way less time. Edit: I was there for four hours. I had a blood draw at 2 1/2 hours of being there. My nurses were very friendly and got me what I needed while I was waiting for my blood draw. Unfortunately this positive experience was short lived (not their faults) and I was sent back out to the freezing cold w
Guthrie Corning Hospital is a top-notch medical facility with dedicated and caring staff. Despite the longer wait times caused by recent storms requiring everything to be done by paper, the quality of care remains exceptional. The doctors and nurses are highly professional, compassionate, and attentive, ensuring each patient feels valued and well-cared for. The hospital is clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment even during these challenging times. Their commitment to patient care, despite the setbacks, truly sets Guthrie Corning Hospital apart. Highly recommended for anyone in need of medical services!
To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the care my father, received during his recent visit to Corning Hospital Emergency Department. My father arrived at the ER with significant respiratory distress, including low oxygen levels, worsening shortness of breath, and a persistent productive cough with a sensation of fluid or mucus in his chest. At the time of his visit, emergency department staff were clearly informed and aware that he has a known diagnosis of aortic stenosis, which had already been evaluated by cardiology. Staff were also informed that torsemide had previously helped relieve his symptoms, specifically improving his cough, reducing the sensation of mucus/fluid in his chest and throat, and improving his breathing. This information was dire
