Dr. Raphael Byrne is a superb doctor. During appointments he took the time to listen and clearly answered questions and gave explanations of procedures. He takes an interest in you as a person as well as his patient. All staff were friendly and professional.
This is an outstandinng facility staffed with top level doctor's, surgeons (e.g. Dr. Raphael Bryen, colorectral surgeon), CNP's and PA-C specialists (e.g. Jessica Beall, Urology). We are fortunate to have the expertise of Guthrie cargivers in Corning and at our new and excellent Corning Hospital.
Guthrie East Corning General Surgery always gives me a personalized experience. Everyone is so knowledgeable as well as pleasant and helpful. I will keep going back as needed.
Dr. Kauffman and her team were outstanding from start to finish. They took the time to explain and allowed me the time I needed for my questions and concerns. I was more impressed that the Dr. added an extra test to be sure I was strong enough for this surgery I appreciate that in so many ways thank you. They were delicate with minimum incisions and pain. I must say im very pleased. I can't thank this team enough for getting me back to good health!!! Fantastic job all thank you!!!
I've had a few surgeries here and while all have gone well it seems my body isn't handling anesthesia very well anymore. Now I don't know if I was given too much or if having fibromyalgia makes me more sensitive to it but this last surgery in May 2025 had me waking up feeling beyond awful. It's hard to describe but my entire body hurt , felt weak and numb and I was so nauseated. My legs just didn't feel right until 2 ladies came over after 30 min and removed the things off my legs for circulation. It was then my legs immediately felt relief but my feet still felt yucky. Now I also have sensitivities to local numbing agents at the dentist where my mouth will be numb for nearly 24 hours so don't think Guthrie is the problem but I'm pretty sure fibromyalgia makes ones body and system much mor
