Guthrie Corning Centerway Walk-In Care

I have very mixed emotions about returning to Centerway Walk-in Clinic. Bravo on being able to make an appointment the night before, knowing any critical patient or emergency would before me. The nurse who was my initial contact was caring and I was treated like I would expect. Then came the doctor. She was businesslike, did a very quick check, and went to her computer. She turned and said I didn’t have a sinus infection, was very congested, and had bronchitis. I tried to respond but was cut off, by her telling me she sent an Rx to Wegmans for prednisone. I tried to ask about the prednisone but she was literally out of the room. She wasn’t interested in hiw my sinus infections have been effectively treated in the past, nor check on my usual prednisone dosage regimens. Even the Wegma

I made an appointment for Urgent Care. I was seen right away. Prompt and professional attention was greatly appreciated. I didn’t feel rushed and had an appropriate amount of time with the PA, whose assessment and feedback was useful.

Things went very well from the moment I arrived at the ER. Everyone was friendly and listened to my issues. Things were handled quickly and professionally. Once admitted, the nurses were very friendly and extremely attentive to my needs.

This place is a joke when you're sick you should be able to get an appointment ASAP!! I get told oh you have to wait till Monday oh he doesn't have any appointments until after Christmas hello um I am still having the same issue with am breathing heavy and out of breath from walking to one room to another in my home but oh you will have to wait! Um no I'm not I pay for each and everyone of my visits I don't have insurance through the state unreal absolutely NOT one bit happy at all

It was horrible I had to wait for over an hour to be seen then I had an x-ray of my back after the appointment and that was a waste of time. The only news I got from the xray was it wasn't as clear as they hoped this is not my issue this is Guthries issue and I should not be charged for their scrappy job.
