Gruppuso Family Women and Newborn Center

I recently gave birth at the Gruppuso Center and wanted to share some highlights. - Everywhere we went was immaculate, from the lobby to triage, labor and delivery and finally the recovery room it was spotless - it was busy! Biggest downside was not necessarily how busy it was but how long you had to wait for things. For example I labored for nearly 3 hours before I finally got my epidural. In that time we asked several people all of whom disappeared. When the doctor did arrive he said he’d only been informed that we were waiting 15 minutes prior. - the entire staff are superheroes at their careers. The care and precision you receive here is next level. My nurse MJ was royalty in another life I am so thankful for her expertise and genuine kindness. - Dr. Alana Niedermaier is without exagg

Dr. Sammy DeAngelis is truly an angel in disguise, and the Newborn & Women’s Center team at Northwell Health changed our lives forever. On January 22, during the most terrifying moment of our lives, Dr. Sammy DeAngelis and his incredible team saved both my life and my baby’s life. As a high-risk patient, fear was constant—but from the moment Dr. Sammy stepped in, I felt safe. His calm presence, compassion, and extraordinary skill carried us through a moment we may not have survived without him. He didn’t just treat me as a patient; he treated me like family. Every nurse, doctor, and staff member at the Newborn & Women’s Center showed genuine care, patience, and humanity. From the moment I walked in, I felt safe and cared for. The environment itself put me at ease. It was so clean, welcoming, and calming. The nurses were absolutely remarkable, not only caring for me but also supporting me as a brand new mom in ways I’ll never forget. And I can’t thank Dr. Vaizman enough for bringing my sweet baby boy Jax (10.2 oz!) into the world. This was such a special and emotional moment in my life, and I’m so grateful to have had a team that made me feel comforted, cared for, and truly looked after every step of the way. 💜

We are grateful to the staff of this hospital for their attention, assistance, and support during our daughter's birth. The staff are not only professionals; they care for their patients as if they were their closest family members. We are extremely impressed with the doctors and nurses. The rooms are also furnished and equipped with the highest quality medical equipment. Giving birth here was comfortable and safe. Thank you so much.

I have no words the labor and delivery department is amazing a big shout out to our most amazing nurse Alyssa pellegrini she was calm and did the most amazing job!!!!!! She’s the best nurse in labor and delivery whoever has her your in good hands!!!!!! We had an amazing experience!!!!! A big thank you to dr Lou the best dr out there!!!!!!
