I had an awful experience as a new patient at this office today. When I scheduled my appointment I was told it was for 11 AM and to arrive between 10:30 and 1045 to do paperwork. I asked the scheduler If it was necessary to show up early if I complete all of my paperwork in advance and was told to arrive by 11am. I faxed all of my new patient paperwork into the office in advance. I arrived at 11 AM and stood waiting for the receptionist to get off a phone call for about 7 mins. I waited patiently with the fax confirmation and the paperwork and insurance card in hand and was told that they would not see me because I was supposed to arrive by 1045. Although I’m new to lupus, it seems patients of any autoimmune disease need a particular type of physician to navigate these complex diseases. Dr. Strazanac is such a doctor. Her skill goes beyond the fundamental educational knowledge, accreditations and medical expertise. These diseases require an excellent listener who is capable of synthesizing clinical data and symptoms to arrive at the best solution. Dr. Strazanac possesses these qualities. There is no end game/resolution, which can be frustrating to both the doctor and patient. She thinks strategically for the long term and deals well with ambiguity. She is diligent with lab work and the assessment of their results. I also find her to be empathetic and yet efficient during appointments. I am thankful for her and her team at Greensbor

This is not the only place to find reviews about Rheumatologist Angela Hawkes, so be sure and search them everywhere. I moved to Greensboro in 2024, already on medication for my RA, when I became Dr. Hawkes patient. I followed her recommendations including which practice to find my PCP. She and I attributed my down turn in health to the stress of moving, new climate, etc., but after six months of severe fatigue and stiffness, my skin began breaking out. I had a physical, had tests run and ultimately found a dermatologist. After topical treatments failed, my dermatologist did a biopsy and gave me the good news that there are RA medications that also treat my apparent eczema and I should discuss with my rheumatologist. Absolute worst experience with Michelle Young. She has absolute zero bedside manner, and couldn’t have been any more unprofessional. I accompanied my wife to her appointment here, and I sat quietly until about 5 minutes in. She was dismissive of everything my wife said, and kept claiming that “it’s just you”. She did not ask any deeper questions when my wife was describing her symptoms, and her tone was patronizing and rude. She gaslit my wife for the whole appointment and when I finally said something, instead of addressing my concerns, she deflected and got loud with me. We walked out on our appointment both in tears, and I had to comfort my wife because of how awful she was treated. If you’re Lgbtq+ or alternative, you definitely need to stay away from this establishment. Michelle Youn

The staff here is so kind. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes to be called back. Dr. Beekman is first class, nice and really listens to concerns you may have and has made me virtually pain free. If you have questions or concerns using their app, they respond promptly.
