Greens at Hickory

My wife is receiving The most care and attention of any place we’ve been so far including the hospital. The charge nurses are wonderful and compassionate and caring the unit nurse Kelly is so helpful and so knowledgeable and makes things happen for my wife that need to happen very quickly. All the CNA‘s and AIDS are assisting my wife in such a loving way she even told one of your CNA‘s that she loved her the other day 😊 keep up the good work and pray that my wife continues to improve while she’s there 🙏🏻 🙏🏻

As someone who has worked in nursing homes I can say, they all suck. Get home health and cameras. But Let me tell you right now, This place does in fact prescribe medication that is not needed and that conflicts with each other and is likely to not help with memory. Very lazy work, especially with my aunt. Trazadone, Burspirone, (conflicts.) Oxy, and a high dose of lorazepam are the prescriptions she left with among many others. No one should be taking TWO lorazepam when most SEIZURE PATIENTS get only one mg or less. Absolutely disgusting and I learned she was sent there without proper consent as well because she was so heavily drugged she couldn’t remember saying yes to going. I can’t say enough good things about this place especially the staff. Staff: the nurses, PAs, and support staff have all been amazing. They never seem to be too busy to acknowledge visitors or patients/residence. The nursing staff has been phenomenal. They’ve treated our loved one with dignity and respect. They chat with him and encourage him to get stronger and stay sharp. A noticeable change in just a few days of treatment. Shoutout to everyone in the South Wing, especially to Kate who’s been the best! Location: Google gives you the wrong street to turn on. It’s the turn prior to the one currently shown. Plenty of parking in the lot in front of the entrance. Facility: The facility seems to be renovated but is very welcoming spot. The staff keeps the facility incredibly clean and sanit

First impressions, the outside is so pretty, the inside not so pretty. Very old and worn, and very loud ! My husband is in a semi private room where they don’t clean the walls, looks really nasty. He has a small tv but no controls for it, but that doesn’t matter because the patient next to him has a tv right beside his and it’s so loud! I’m still on the fence about the staff! I’ll get back to you all on that one! Worst place ever. I have not seen and new renovations as shown on their website. My husband’s room is filthy. Also he has had a kidney infection for over three weeks. Not getting proper care! Worst doctors ever! My mother has been at The Greens for almost a month. Gayla, a nurse in the memory care unit, has been absolutely wonderful with my mom and her care. She has been there for me when I’ve had questions and has been so helpful. I’m thankful for the care and support of my mom. Thank you Gayla and The Greens at Hickory!!
