I recently had an appointment here and I had a completely different experience at this office. The staff and dentist have always been professional, thorough and focused on patient safety. I myself am hesitant to take X-rays, but I know they are an important, standard part of preventative care. I did my research on this prior to my appointment. X-rays can detect issues like decay, infections and bone loss that can simply be seen by a dental exam. Knowledge is key and I am more than happy with the doctors and team at Great Neck Smiles! I trust their judgement and appreciate that they follow proper dental standards rather than just cutting corners.

I was not happy with my appointment yesterday. I am only going to this office a short time and yesterday was my 4 th cleaning since I began going there. I have not needed anything else done as I am in good shape. So when I was leaving and wanted to make a future appt for my next cleaning, the ladies started in on me, and I did not appreciate the attack. On my first visit I was told I had to do a full set of x rays before the cleaning and I did it, it was expensive but I was trying to be nice. Yesterday, only my 4 th cleaning, they demanded I agree to another full set of x rays at next cleaning or they would not schedule the next appt. And this time I said no x rays, for a simple reason. There is nothing wrong in my mouth and there is no need for more x rays. And I read a lot and now I know

Outstanding! I hadn’t been to the dentist in over 8 years, so this was my first visit with Dr. Tolchinsky. She did a complete and comprehensive evaluation of my dental status while explaining everything in perfect detail. She is knowledgeable, personable, and performed the entire exam and cleaning using a gentle touch. The office is neat and clean with a staff that is both friendly and competent. High marks for the entire practice!

Yesterday was my first appointment with Dr. Evelina Tolchinsky. She and her staff made me feel comfortable right away. She is thorough and professional. While she was examining my mouth and teeth, she explained what she was doing and why. She carefully explained all the scans and X-rays taken and recommended actions I could do at home to help remedy the symptoms the images showed. I felt like I found the right dentist for me, by the time I left the office.

Dr Tulchinsky is my number one choice for anyone who needs a passionate, professional and honest doctor.
