Great Expressions Dental Centers - Commack Vets

I’ve booked an online appointment with Zocdoc a couple of weeks ago. I even left work early to show up to my appointment. I get there and I found out that the office is closed. How hard is it to contact the patients ahead of time in advance to let them know that the office will be closed due to weather conditions? I understand that we had a heavy snow storm yesterday, But my appointment was for today and I even got a text confirming it today. I wasted time and money to get here not a great experience as a first time patient.

Maryanne ( one of the dental hygienist) is incredibly knowledgeable and kind hearted. She gets the fear of coming yet explains the importance of dental health in such a graceful way. Truly a professional. The gentleman at the front is top notch too! He is on point and seems to get things done quickly without fumbling. He’s a truly caring and highly skilled dentist who takes the time to explain every procedure in detail, making each appointment feel comfortable and informed. His professionalism and patience are unmatched. My visit started with a cleaning by Jamie, my hygienist, and she was fantastic. Her technique is thorough yet gentle—completely painless. She also answered all my questions and shared incredibly helpful tips on brushing, flossing, and using a Waterpik. I left feeling confident and well cared for. Highly recommend this team for anyone looking for top-notch dental care!

I came to this dental office for a routine cleaning, which is fully covered under my MetLife PPO plan. I was never told that anything was wrong with my gums, nor was I informed of any underlying gum disease or condition that would require a deep cleaning. No one explained that I would be receiving anything other than the routine cleaning I scheduled. Instead, I was handed paperwork to sign without any explanation of why a different procedure was necessary. I was never shown any notes, X‑rays, periodontal measurements, or evidence that a deep cleaning was medically required. After the appointment, I was charged $250 for a deep cleaning I did not knowingly consent to. I have had positive experiences here each time I go. I’m always called in on time and the hygienists and dentists are very attentive and caring. I’ve never had issues trying to make appointments when I need them. The staff at the front desk is also very helpful and friendly.
