Dr. Valente is the absolute best. She is sweet, caring, and knowledgeable. She takes the time to explain what’s going on and doesn’t push for any unnecessary procedures. My cleaning was done by Estella and she was throughout, explained what she saw and recommendations for it. She was very personable too. I would def recommend both Dr.Valente and Estella! Will be back.

Dr. Valente took the time to explain my treatment in a way I actually understood. She used visual tools and AI to walk me through why I needed my treatment, and it made everything so clear and less intimidating. I never felt rushed and truly felt educated, not pressured. This office goes above and beyond when it comes to patient care and communication. Highly recommend!

In the lead-up to the New Year, I was visiting relatives in Michigan and had an oral event which necessitated a tooth extraction. Prior to this I had been neglecting the dentist's office for quite a number of years. Entering the New Year I resolved to reenter the sphere of proper dental care and made an appointment with GEDC. Today, I had my initial exam which included x-rays and an exam, overview, and comprehensive explanation of my current dental state and provided a path to future care. My dental assistant was named Jessie and she was world class. She embodied empathy as even the slightest wince on my part drew forth consolation and an earnest desire to make sure I was OK. I was literally scheduled for an emergency appointment at 9:30am. I sat for 1.5 hours in pain watching others be called ahead of me. It was not until I finally spoke up that I went to the back and even then I sat for additional 30 minutes in a room because whomever this black lady was obviously forgot I was there because she came back in the room and kept mispronouncing my name and stated “oops” let me get someone to do your X-rays. I then met this wonderful lady whalmelise I believe who I told that I’ve been there since 9:30 at this time it was 11am. She immediately apologized and began to complete my x-rays because somehow my treatment plan was as if I was being seen as a new patient and not an emergency. My 5 children have been patients of Great Expressions for 5+ years. We have been to several different offices and over all the service has been acceptable. However lately my experience at the Big Bend office has been unacceptable when it’s comes to scheduling and respecting my time. I currently have two children in braces, so their cleaning have to be coordinated between ortho and Dental. So I’ve had to reschedule the same appointment 3 times for my 13year old who’s in braces because GDC has dropped the ball twice the first time the hygienist was there and the 2nd time was because I got a new insurance card for the new year and they says they need 24 hrs to verify the insurance however I got a call at 4:43pm the day before the appointment I called back 6 times and no one would answer the p
