Grant Park Dentistry

This is a great dental office! Everyone at the front desk is kind & helpful, including when it comes to navigating payment options. I've had to visit frequently lately for restorative work, and Dr. Nguyen has made the whole experience easy & painless.

I had a switch in insurance and for the first time ever the front desk refused to help me with it. Usually they call for me and verify it. But they required my card or they were going to “charge me cash prices”. In all the times I have gone I just tell them who I am with and they call and verify. Even the insurance told me “they could have just called us”. But I felt like they were kind of rude about it and it caused me to be 20 mins later to my appointment start time. The dental assistant was great, super easy with X-rays but she seemed a bit obsessed with the scrapping. Again I haven’t had that experience before. I was sore the day after from it. With the insurance issue and the intense scrapping my appointment took about an hour and a half. And it was just a cleaning. I have been going

I had a tiny chip on a tooth that needed to be smoothed over. Dr. K polished it and made sure it felt OK to me before ending the appointment. All of the staff members were polite and professional and treated me as an individual, not "just another patient."

Super clean and friendly office. Front desk folks are great, and their payment plans are really accommodating. Hygienists are nice, and efficient. Dr. Nguyen is helpful, thorough, and quick (even when there are miscommunications or machine mishaps.) I’ve had good experiences with both of my procedures there.

I was hoping to get a routine cleaning as that is covered under my insurance but was told I needed gum scaling and the removal of some teeth and they would not do the standard cleaning unless I signed on for the deep cleaning which, unfortunately, my insurance does not cover. I did request (beg) for a routine cleaning but they would not do it. I have filed a grievance with delta dental but I doubt that will do anything. Frankly, I realized, in retrospect, that Grant Park Dentistry is one of many locations that function as clinics with a larger corporation. Not sure but was very sad as I am 72 and remember when one's dentist, like one's doctor was independent.
