Granite Peaks Gastroenterology

Granite Peaks Gastroenterology is located in a convenient location in Sandy and was very easy to get to. The building was recently renovated - it was very nice, clean, and organized. The entire staff were kind, and the paperwork was streamlined and quick to complete. Scheduling my procedure was simple. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. I met with Ann Web, who was a professional, pleasant, and thorough provider. She listened to what I had to say and answered all my questions completely. I was particularly impressed that she was very knowledgable about my gastrointestinal symptoms and was able to pull up decades of my medical history, even across state lines. I highly recommend them.

Unfortunately, I do not recommend. Customer service has been horrible with a lack of follow up or notification. Didn’t get the Colonoscopy instructions until the day before prep. Had to call the office to confirm appt and prep instructions myself as they did not reach out to me. Also once results were in, I called with some questions and no follow up was provided from the staffing. Had to call back to get questions answered. Also doctor won’t provide recommendations for next steps in writing or over the phone. You have to come in and discuss. I would like to know what I am coming in for, before I take time off of work. On a positive note, facility for procedures was clean, organized and staff was very knowledgeable. Procedure was quick and doctors made the environment comfortable.

Unfortunately or fortunately, we will not be going to the facility for a preventive colonoscopy. They were referred to us by our insurance company three weeks ago and we have left SEVERAL text and voice messages trying to schedule. They want you to schedule via text and you don't get a response back. First impressions are usually correct so we will be telling our insurance company and the pay program they participate in that this facility is not easy to work with. If it takes three weeks to get a simple response, I can only image what the actual service is like.

I had an appointment today after months of waiting. I walked in to my appointment 8 min late. ( I have a 18month old baby and the struggle was real. Nothing on them , totally a me problem ) But , I walked in again, 8 min late and the front desk lady ( The blond gal ) said “ oh, your appointment was canceled. You are 10 min late and after a certain time doctor has to move on to the next patient”. Last time I was there I waited for an hour for them to see me. But 8 min was not acceptable. She said “ NOPE “. I will not becoming here again. Being late is not acceptable but I am a firm believer in how you do anything is how you do everything. That starts at the door. I can only imagine how rushed those appointments are if there is no wiggle room for an 8 min delayed appointment. I should

Absolutely the best. Dr. Weaver listened and understood my concerns, and he acted promptly to help identify and solve the issue. Everyone at the surgery center is amazing, but especially Nicole, Kortney, and Raven. If you are ever so unfortunate as to have a colonoscopy, consider yourself lucky to have it done here. (Also they made my dreams come true by playing a silly song as they put me under just to keep up with my tradition! They are the best!)
