My son and I were there because he broke his leg. From the time the EMT’s showed up from Fire House 20 (they were all fantastic) to the time we arrived at Grand Strand everything was absolutely top notch! Every single interaction was fabulous. I’m very thankful that you all made us feel at home under stressful circumstances. I’d like to specifically thank Dr. Bullion and his staff as they were all incredibly supportive, knowledgeable and kind. In the PICU I’d like to thank my son’s wonderful nurses by name: Michele, Stacy & Taylor, we couldn’t have asked for better care and kindness that we received. I love you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my son and making us comfortable. I’m sure you all don’t get all the gratitude that you truly deserve do doing a job

The urology department (Atlantic Urology Specialists) was extremely rude and pushy. I was in the ER there for post kidney stone crush (procedure performed in my home town) excruciating pain. The CT showed there were no blockages or bleeding and nothing obstructing. As well as noted the pieces of stone size being small enough to pass. The urologist demanded that a stint be placed going against my own Dr (whom I got on the phone) and my wishes. Their only reasoning was and I quote, “well that’s just how we do things. We always place a stint.” There was no need for a further procedure so doing so would have led to more anesthesia, possible infection risk, more discomfort and pain for no reason. I have since passed all pieces of stone with no stint and no problems. We should not be demanding

Both the nurse and doctor were very caring and professional and knowledgeable. The nurse explained the procedures very well and continued throughout the process. It went smoothly thanks to her assistance with all the steps involved. I was definitely in good hands and got my report from the doctor the very same day. I didn’t see my primary doctor to go over it yet, but I understood as much as I can from the report! Excellent work throughout the process!

Going to the emergency room is never a good thing. However, we were able to get in and out in just a couple of hours. By ER time, that’s quick. Everyone was nice and caring. The doctors knew what they were doing and took great care of us. Everything went as well as it could. I’m just happy to have an ER near my home. I’m sure I’ll be back again, more than once. There is a great deal of construction going on at the hospital. They’re currently in the process of adding a very large addition. I was there at night so I couldn’t see much but it appears that the addition may be larger than the original hospital. A lot of people badmouth the hospital but honestly I think it’s good for what and where it’s located. More importantly, it’s improving daily. So if you need an ER, I wouldn’t

I want to thank everyone at Grand Strand Medical Center for taking such good care of my grandma. The staff was kind, patient, and truly attentive. We always felt that she was in good hands. The doctors and nurses took time to explain things, answered our questions, and treated her with respect and compassion. During a stressful time for our family, their professionalism and kindness made a big difference. We are very grateful for the care she received and truly appreciate the work this team does every day.
