Gowanda Urgent Care & Medical Center

Brought my 5 year old son in 30 minutes before closing and from the time we walked in they were very professional. They took us back and the nurse said only one parent could go back at a time but I explained my son had autism and she told me "say no more" they were so kind and knew how to handle my very sick baby. They offered snacks and made him feel very comfortable.

Absolutely disgusted with the staff and nurse working at urgent care Gowanda this afternoon, my 2 year old daughter fell and spilt her head open needing stitches, we arrived at urgent care at 5:55pm they close at 6pm, since when can a Medical Professional turn you away in an emergency situation? Also as a human how can you turn away a child in need?? How sick can people be?

Went there for my husband since he threw his back out. The urgent care we would generally go to is not covered by our insurance any longer unfortunately so we went here. We (my 2 yr old and I) were not allowed to go into the room with him, which I understand. All places are different. But the receptionist seemed to be in a hurry to go home. They close at 6, and when she noticed the time she told me I couldn't stay inside as she was waiting at the door. My husband came out not even 5 minutes later. Im sure the nurse or doctor did well, but the fact that the person up front was rushing me to get out and then just drove off immediately put a bad taste in mouth. If i need to go to an urgent care i will go out of my way to go up to the city.

Just went to have blood work done at the lab (that was just sent over from my doctor) and they had apparently not received it yet. I had my two year old with me. Instead of being kind and trying to find out where the paperwork was the lady at the desk very rudely said to me “I don’t know you can hang out or come back tomorrow whatever”. Okay let me drag my toddler back down with tomorrow instead. Thanks for being so kind and understanding to a mother that needs to have some urgent blood work done.

I hate that I cannot put 0 stars. This Urgent care is the worst medical facility I have ever been to. Every time I have visited whether for myself or one of my children (about 4 times) they were more concerned about getting home than they are about people. They used to close at 8 PM and if you walked in 45 minutes before that you would be treated as if you had just ruined their entire day. Apparently now they close at 7pm... Correction, they advertise that they close at 7pm but they are actually in their car by 7pm as I witnessed today when I brought in my sick daughter. They should not pretend to be an urgent care facility. They are just an overpriced primary care center who do not care about people.
