Golden Hour

Spent an afternoon for a half day retreat at Golden Hour and enjoyed a chair treatment + got to relax in the space. The space is so thoughtfully designed, clean and inviting and the team made my time there so relaxing. My practitioner, Ocean offered amazing chair massage, acupuncture, and aroma therapy that helped me drift off for a moment in my busy week. This place prioritizes wellness from such a beautiful place and I can’t wait to be back.

Incredible experience! Highly recommended. This was my first time getting acupuncture. The space was tastefully decorated and the vibe was calming. It was very relaxing, as I was offered tea and an eye mask. Ocean spoke with me beforehand to see what I was looking to alleviate, which helped guide the process. The shoulder massage was great and the acupuncture itself was done very gently and skillfully. I felt much better afterwards and will definitely be back!

Very cozy and welcoming space. Both me and my partner got our nails by Mary Jane. I got basic short square extensions, but my partner got some super cute flames and MJ was so quick and effortless. Love the branding of Golden Hour too, shout out to Marci at Marmalade studio who does a lot of branding stuff for small businesses. Highly recommend.

Janet and her team at Golden Hour have been a pivotal part of my healing for maybe a decade now. I often come home to Portland just to spend time here. The space alone is magic with Janet's incredible curatorial eye and attention to detail. All the senses are hit. I feel it the moment I am greeted by Lucy and sit down with their tea. Throughout the week I like to vary between chair treatments with Ocean or Sara (which include THE BEST massage) and a full massage moxa appointment. Also worth a pop in to spend some time in the little shop (which feels like a highly curated general store) where they have a selection of healing oils, the tea! etc. I can't leave without grabbing something for myself or boyfriend.

I saw Ocean for a 40 min acupuncture session and it was AMAZING! I will continue to go monthly. I had never tried acupuncture, and I think the mini session is the perfect way to try it out. I felt so grounded and relaxed after my session. I will be booking again!
