Giombetti & Brady Pediatrics

I’m surprised to read these reviews! I’ve been taking my kids to see Dr.Todd Giombetti since my 7yr old was a newborn! I’ve had maybe one rude dismissive nurse in that time, but as soon as I said something to dr. Todd about it, he told me he would always be the one to take blood from that point forward! We never wait more than 5 minutes. Every visit with my 3 kids at this point, the first thing he does is ask ME if I have any questions or concerns, and is listening when I do! I know this because while doing an overall physical he always addresses my concerns while going through it, and always remembers to address them AGAIN at the next appointment and ask how it’s going! Dr. Giombetti dismissed us from his practice immediately after I submitted a records release form to seek a second opinion regarding my 9-month-old daughter's persistent cough. His recommendation was to proceed with an X-ray, but we were concerned about exposing her to radiation at such a young age and wanted to explore other options first. Unfortunately, it seems our request for a second opinion may have been taken personally. We were dismissed just before my daughter's scheduled 9-month immunizations, and now we find ourselves in the difficult position of having to quickly secure a new appointment elsewhere.

Dr. Giombetti is one of the best pediatricians for my son. Unfortunately, we had to move out of state for my new job and let him go. I have to agree with one of the other reviewers about the receptionist LORRAINE. She was very rude and curt with me and refused to send over my son's records unless I send a $10 fee in the mail. It is very weird process and in the middle of it, my son fell sick. When I tried to explain this to the receptionist she was very rude and only agreed to send his immunization records and recent physical. The new doctor cannot see him until they recieve all his records and I'm very stressed and the receptionist is refusing to address my needs. SHE NEEDS TO GET A STRONG LECTURE OR SHE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED!! The doctors are very good but their staff needs improvement.

I have to agree with the comments below about rudeness and unprofessionalism from Dr. Giombetti's and Dr. Brady's staff, including nurses and receptionists. Our family experienced this as well. I also agree that Dr. Giombetti is not open to any questioning of his recommendations or feedback on improvements that can be made to his practice. They also do not have a good system for prescribing medication; the refill process takes too long, and communication is really lacking. Recently, we switched to Schoolhouse Pediatrics in Albany, based on several recommendations from other parents. We've had a great experience so far. We also now have a psychiatrist handling our son's ADHD medication, which has been life changing.

Our children have been with this practice for 7 years now. We have nothing but good things to say about it. Lately our daughter has had frequent bouts of strep and the providers and staff have been extremely accommodating to get our child in to be seen and treated.
