⸻ Dear Gilmer Animal Hospital, I am writing to share my deeply disappointing experience during my recent visit with my dog. After a grooming session, he developed an infection in the dewclaw, so I brought him to your hospital. Upon arrival, the veterinarian briefly examined him—no more than a couple of minutes—and said she would quickly clean his paw. I explicitly mentioned that I was on a budget, and at no point was any cost discussed or approved. When I got home, I was shocked to see a $50 charge simply for cleaning his dewclaw—a task I could have done myself. I called to speak with a manager, but was told I needed to wait until Monday. Then, I received a call from a staff member I had never met, who claimed all costs were explained to me. They even added that they did extra services I

My dog Biscuit has received fantastic care at this clinic. We have seen both Dr. Thomas and Dr. Brar. Both vets spent time going over all of my concerns and questions. I am always able to get an appointment within a day or two of calling to schedule which is fantastic. We have been battling an ear infection, so the prompt appointments help keep my pup from experiencing discomfort. The pricing is also extremely affordable compared to other vets who I have tried. Thank you again for caring for my pup!

I highly recommend Gilmer Road Animal Hospital. The doctors are experienced and caring, and the staff is warm, knowledgeable and compassionate. When I had to go through the heart wrenching experience of putting one of my beloved animals down due to an incurable disease, they took great care - of both my dog, and me. The staff members were very patient, listening to and calming me as I cried on several phone calls before and after with questions. They helped carry in my dog who couldn't walk anymore and followed up after a personal note, among other things. I will never forget how helpful they were 🙏.

Very personable vet. We see the same one every visit. A more classic vet vibe. They really listen to concerns and without agreeing to an experimental paw surgery, my oldest dog would not be running on all fours today. Would recommend to any and everyone!

This place is the best . My dog Molly gets the best care here. Everyone at the front is so sweet & professional, Lorynn is amazing! . I seriously have nothing bad to say about this place . I am so grateful to have found you guys . Also doctor Thomas is the best !
