As someone living with ADHD, and as a Black gay man, navigating healthcare has often felt like navigating systems that weren’t designed with me in mind. I’ve gone from provider to provider feeling like a task to complete, a chart to close, a box to check. I was nervous finding a new Doctor. Dr. Futrell is amazing! I knew immediately I was with someone that cared, listened, and proactive. Dr. Futrell was thorough, reiterated all of my communications for acknowledgment, treated my issues as valid concerns, went above and beyond to ensure I’m being proactive/contributing in maintaining my own health, and did not leave til I had all recommended health check appointments and even reminded me to keep my dentist appointments. This let me know the Dr. sees health holistically. Her personality is positive, energetic, and assuring!
