From day one, the Social Worker, Eric, was incredibly helpful, guiding us through every step of the process and making a stressful transition so much easier. He continued throughout my sister's stay to answer questions and support us in every possible way. The nursing staff is top-notch—always attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. Questions and requests were addressed promptly by Ken, Shayla, Dawn and Miranda and their team. When my mom had a catastrophic seizure that left her gradually declining Gem City Rehab ended up being the best decision I made. It was close to home and when Medicare stopping paying my moms social security was more than enough to over the monthly costs. The staff were excellent and attentive and the facility was kept very clean. The facility is new after being remodeled and the nurse/patient balance felt very well managed and didn't seem like the nurses and doctors were being overwhelmed which allowed for more attention per patient. It's been almost 30 days since my arrival to Gem City Nursing and Rehab. Inspite of that long ride, I can honestly say that coming here was the BEST decision! I came from a facility full of pettiness, chaos, and drama. Nobody wanted to work together. They talked about each other and the residents. The department heads NEVER got involved unless state was in the building! I was there for 8 years. I believe everything happens for a reason! I prayed for an open door and God answered my prayers! This is my second time in this facility, so I really like the staff. The sides are really nice and the Administrators are really welcoming, especially the hard working Social Director, Eric Doan. He is very down to earth and holds my feelings and opinions close to heart. I know he does things out of the best of intentions. Some of the Nurses are just as driven and have been there for me when I've needed it. I'm also very grateful for the Physical and Occupational Therapy personnel for helping me out to regain my strength and with my pain.

We love partnering with the team at Gem City! Their staff is always welcoming, communicative, and genuinely invested in resident care. The ancillary services they offer are such a benefit, not only to the residents, but to everyone supporting them. It’s always a pleasure working with a facility so committed to whole-person care!
