Geisinger ConvenientCare walk-in clinic Danville

I brought my daughter here for strep symptoms, and while the clinical staff were fine, the billing experience has been extremely disappointing. They accepted my insurance card with no mention that this location is out of network. I was even encouraged to approve a full panel of tests because they “should be covered,” including a COVID test. Insurance denied all of it, and I was billed over $1,100 for a simple visit. What makes this worse is that the bill was sent to collections while I was still waiting for a call back from Geisinger to discuss the charges. I now receive daily collection calls, which is incredibly frustrating considering I was never told the services wouldn’t be covered in the first place. Best urgent care experience. The staff had me in and out in no time. Barely had to wait in the waiting room, and didn't wait long in the exam room. The provider was excellent.

I brought my 4Yo son who was very sick here as we were out of town an he needed seen asap. I was treated very bad by the office lady, she was extremely short and snippy with me for absolutely no reason whatsoever. It got to the point where I asked her if I did or said anything to offend her?? The doctor and nurse were great, but she gives the place a bad rep. Some people just shouldn't work dealing with the public if they can’t handle it.

Won't go into details about my issue, but I'll offer that it wasn't straightforward. It was my second time there in about 6 months for the same thing. I saw Dr Cynthia both times. The second time she prescribed me something that just about resolved the issue. Wasn't something I was expecting... And believe me I googled the crap out of everything lol. Only issue is that I'm unable to tell her thank you on MyChart since messaging is disabled. Both times here were great. Oh, and the older tech lady that's there, she seemed crabby but I quickly realized that she has about 10 jobs and does them very effectively so don't expect a bunch of small talk. She is efficient and I'd take that over a long wait any day.

Terrible service. I’m traveling from Ohio to New York City for my birthday. I woke up at 1:30am with terrible throat pain, freezing with shakes and both ears hurting. I took 4 ibuprofen and set out on our trip as everything was pre planned for a year now. I was feeling terrible after the ibuprofen wore off and decided to stop here to see if I could get some antibiotics before it worsened. Strep test came back negative as I doubt it even had time to be positive (I was trying to be proactive so my trip wasn’t ruined). She would not prescribe me anything, saying sorry and rushed me out the door. This place is a joke! My urgent care back home would have treated me for strep just to keep me from being miserable and able to enjoy my trip. I would have went there but they didn’t open for several
