Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital

I was sent to ER from Geisinger clinic. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by very kind and compassionate staff. These included security, receptionist triage, testing, nurse and Dr. They were all amazing through and wick. Thank you

Horrible experience. No patient rounding. No orientation to room, call bell NOTHING. Sat for hours waiting for a "final report" to come from Danville. I understand the more urgent cases take priority, but waiting for 1 result for 4+ hours and still no answers or discharge. Will never come back. Disheartening for parents/families of students next door

Zero sense of urgency in the emergency room. I have had to come here a few times for myself, my child, and my husband. Each time the front desks acts like you're bothering them when you arrive. Each time you're left waiting for more than an hour just to be seen. Each time I have gone there for myself or my husband has resulted in being there for 12+ hours with little to no communication about what is going on. Their favorite line is "a nurse will be in shortly" and then they never show up. Every single time I have been admitted here I have been told "a nurse will be in shortly" and I'm kept waiting for hours until I have to call someone to remind them that I'm there. When I was admitted for low blood pressure during my pregnancy they kept me there for 16 hours with no food, no communicatio

I had gone here to the ER department for issues with head pressure that was causing muscle tremors, slurred speech, hazy vision, heart palpitations, and lowered and increased heart rate. I was told it was my anxiety and/or tension headaches. I had to go back to the hospital, not once, not twice, but SIX different times for them to do ANYTHING worthwhile to try and diagnose me and it was my primary that had to put in referrals for a CT scan and MRI. I am beyond upset with Geisinger as a whole for how they've handled my situation. I was and still am beyond terrified about my condition and the only compassion I was shown was by the EMT's and nurses.

I just came home from an emergency appendectomy, I had a great experience from the convenience care to the operating room. I was treated with great care from my surgeon and my nurses on the surgical floor. I was really nervous because I was from out of town and not familiar with the hospital or doctors but I had no need to be. Thank you for the positive experience.
