Gastroenterology, UVM Health - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital

I'm struggling greatly with diagnosed gastroparesis. Because I'm on a med that can cause long QT syndrome, I can't take Reglan. However, Dr. Drollete refuses to explore literally any other options. Her solution was to try baby food or liquids when I'm flaring the worst. Well, I ended up in the ER because I couldn't keep anything down for 26 hours. Now, I'm almost exclusively consuming liquids, and still vomiting at the end of the day. I keep calling, and they keep saying they will get back to me, but then they never do. This isn't ok. The way I am living is not sustainable.

Was referred out to this place by my primary doctor. I had previously called to make sure they were accepting new patients and I was told they were. Fast forward almost a month after the referral was sent and I hadn't heard back so I called to check on the status. I was told "oh that was denied, we aren't taking patients from out of the area, you'll have to go to Malone or Saranac Lake" I'm sorry what? Apparently not living in the area disqualifies me from being able to be seen by a doctor? Never in my life have I ever heard of such nonsense. All the time wasted waiting on them, I could have been looking for a practice that actually wants to help people 🙄 *updated to say that I was also told that they had sent a letter to my GPs office stating the referral should go to SL or elsewhere.
