Gentle Touch Family Dentistry - Maria Szmigiel DMD

I am SO GLAD I found this practice. The staff are incredible and every one I have worked with has been highly skilled, incredibly compassionate and very patient. From the moment patients walk in the door, staff are there to greet them and talk to them, help them check in and get them into an exam room within minutes. I have significant dental anxiety and need quite a few things done to my teeth and gums, and everyone here has taken the time to explain things thoroughly and move at a pace that is manageable for me, both emotionally and financially. And Dr. Szmigiel is by far the best dentist I have had, incredibly knowledgeable and informed on all the latest treatments and options, and also very kind and totally patient-centered. I had my first visit to Gentle Touch. The friendly way I was welcomed felt sincere. The intake was quick and efficient. I was guided to the treatment space. Everything looked clean, and the design of the place was warm and not intimidating. Emily Plumadore, the friendly hygienist, explained calmly what was going to happen. The taking of X-rays went fast (additionally, the equipment used was new and definitely seemed the latest). The cleaning was painless, with Emily regularly checking in on me to see that everything was OK. Dr. Maria Szmigiel, a warm and friendly professional, introduced herself. I can't say enough good things about Gentle Touch Dentistry! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and offered assistance checking in. The office is clean and comfortable, which really helps with any dental anxiety. The dentist was thorough, gentle, and explained everything clearly. I felt like I was in great hands. All I had to do was lay back and watch Netflix with my headphones on. My teeth have never felt cleaner, and I actually look forward to my next visit.

I had a great experience at my recent visit! My hygienist, Rhylee, was absolutely wonderful—kind, professional, and very attentive to my comfort and concerns. I’ve had multiple exposures to radiation over the last year and didn’t feel comfortable with more X-rays this time. Rhylee immediately understood and respected that, which I really appreciated. It meant a lot to feel truly listened to and cared for during my appointment. Highly recommend Rhylee and this office for anyone who values compassionate, personalized care!
