Gastro Health - Framingham

Do not under any circumstances go to this practice. My original appointment was August 19th. They said I needed 2 tests done. The office/Dr./PA did not schedule the tests for weeks even though I called the office several times. 1st test was Sept. 28th, 2nd one an MRI scheduled for October 7th. It was cancelled because the office had not gotten approval from the insurance company. Rescheduled for October 15th, again the day before the hospital called to cancel because they did not have approval. I had to intervene, call the insurance company & be the go-between person. The insurance was not @ fault, it was the office. Today is the 22nd. I have gotten no results from either test.

The doctor was fine but the follow-up has been a nightmare. The doc uploaded my endoscopy results (which required next steps) but never mentioned what those next steps were. They simply told me to stay on the medication I was on. Given that I was t even on the medication they indicated, I had to call the office multiple times to find out when I was supposed to come back and how to get on this medication. Additionally, Scheduling and office visits have been confusing and at times unprofessional. I waited in the waiting room for about 20 minutes past when my ultrasound was supposed to be, only to be told at that point I was waiting in the wrong area (nobody mentioned that I needed to go upstairs). Would not recommend. Be prepared to do your own research and advocate for your own care, as some of the clinical staff come across as dismissive, rushed or rude, specifically Dr. Taitelbaum. Also, there is no direct line to clinical staff or even the local office, only through exchanging messages with a call center. Also, this office, like many providers, is HIPAA and information blocking non-compliant in their approach to sharing medical records. Their approach to both clinical care and operations shows they care much more about potential or perceived liability than actually caring for patients.

I always have an awesome experience at Gastro Health and Dr Oviedo and his physician Assistant Marlena O are excellent Doctors. I highly recommend Gastro Health in Framingham Massachusetts.

I was very disappointed with Dr. Miller's care. I went in complaining of pain on the right side of my abdomen, two years after my first visit. He initially ordered a pelvic ultrasound and endoscopy and told me I had H-pyori. He gave me a lot of antibiotics, and a second exam continued to test positive for H-pyori. But I insisted on the pain in my abdomen, and he dismissed it. So I decided to request a second visit and request a CT scan. He was ironic, saying he knew what he was talking about, insisting the pain was caused by the H-pyori bacteria. But I know it isn't.
