Dr. Procaccino is an excellent doctor and great human being. You can tell he’s excited to treat his patients, he listens, investigates, he is gentle and kind. Not a thread of arrogance. His new assistant Dave is also great.

Warning! I received a standard endoscopy from the team at Gastro Health Alexandria and while they provided excellent service, their prices are outrageous. Despite them telling me I was fully covered and pre-approved by my in-network Anthem insurance, the bills kept coming and coming. At first, I thought they were "balance billing," but Anthem confirmed the bills were all legitimate and I owed the money because I hadn't yet fully reached my annual $2,000 out of pocket maximum. The peace of mind from knowing that I don't have stomach cancer is nice, however, at 38 years old, had I known that I'd be on the hook for so much of the bill -- I never would have gotten the procedure. I recommend shopping around, and not getting any procedure unless you've already reached your out-of-pocket maximum.

Ashleigh the medical provider is great. However, I had to wait 3 months for a procedure, which I understood, but then I was given the wrong arrival time, and wrong prep instructions by Maria at GastroHealth. 24 hours before my appointment I was told that I could only have clear liquids even thought Maria told me I had no prep but to not eat after midnight the night before. When I spoke with her to let her know her guidance was wrong, she did not apologize. In fact, she was rude. It is clear that some GastroHealth employees don’t care about patients or their work.

Dr. Frank Procaccino was exceptionally helpful in explaining about my problems and I’m forever great full for his help! Also the staff were very supportive and professional.

PA, Jackie Trey is a pro! She listens intently, asks questions several levels deep, explains her prognosis and needed tests and next steps. I was very satisfied!
