Fulton Center

I went to Fulton center in Gloversville ny on July 9, 2024 with my sister/ cousin to be treated with COMFORT CARE. Comfort care was the last thing she received there. The room she was assigned to was filthy, obviously had not been cleaned prior to her arrival and certainly not even cleaned for a very long time prior. I will post pictures I took during her stay there. I stayed with her 24/7 for 9 days and nights. Conditions were deplorable, filthy and I just felt dirty the entire time I was there. I took a bird bath and washed my hair everyday and still felt grubby. She was there to be given comfort care to pass onto her eternal home. It was a total disgusting shame that she suffered so much during her COMFORT care. Several staff were GREAT, and a couple others would withhold her

If I could give zero stars I would. Fulton neglected my cousin, who had a bedsore that turned necrotic and septic to the bone and blood stream. He ended up in Albany medical center on life support at the age of 38. I also told the nurse about his roommate who was laying in urine for 3 hours and was told “it does it intentionally so I really don’t care” and left the room. Being investigated by department of health and many open lawsuits. Stay far far away!

Rooms dirty. No chair in room for patient or visitors. Unresponsive to requests for pain medication for someone with stage four cancer.

My family member lived at the Fulton center for a few years. It's a horrible place. I live out of New York state so my only line of communication is by phone. It was always very difficult to reach staff and my family member by phone. Which made it worse was it was impossible to get any staff to call you back. After leaving a number of messages at the center and not hearing back from staff and not being able to reach my family member I feared the worst. I called the County Clerks office to only find out my family member had died months earlier. The Fulton Center never informed me of my family members death.

My mother in law has been in an ALF for years but needed rehab. I chose fulton center and I am so pleased with the compassion of the staff, the physical therapy, and the environment that I made the decision to keep her there longterm. She has thrived there and is so happy. Thank you fulton center for all you do! You are truly a compassionate and amazing team!
