I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated by Freeman Hospital’s billing/customer service department. I called to resolve a medical bill that has been sitting for a couple of weeks with no progress. The phone rang for an excessive amount of time before anyone answered. When someone finally picked up, I was told their system was “down” and they couldn’t help me. Instead of offering a callback or a solution, the call was ended and I had to call back again myself. During my follow-up call, I was accused of “raising my voice.” I was not cussing or insulting anyone — I was simply frustrated after weeks of no action and difficulty even getting someone on the phone. Brittany and Jake were the best most genuine nurses I've ever seen. They were so good with my mom, we thought we were going to lose her. Brittany stayed on every detail, she came in the room and would check to make sure my mom was comfortable. I've been around a long time and I know a lot of nurses but these 2 were top best in that hospital. The hospital all together is amazing and have the best caring nurses and doctors. I've been admitted twice in the past few weeks. Due to my own poor self-care. But I was treated with sympathy and empathy, although a lack of letting me sleep for more than a couple hours at a time. And the food sucked, but show me the hospital where it doesn't. But being treated like a human, that is so vital to recovering from anything. Their staff are well drilled in this.

I’ve usually been really loyal to Freeman and always felt like the care was compassionate and high quality. When my son was born at 28 weeks, just 2 pounds, the NICU team truly became my heroes and I’ll forever be thankful for them. More recently I’ve had some confusing visits to the ER. I came in with a lot of pain after a recent surgery and felt like I wasn’t really being listened to. The male nurse and doctor seemed convinced I had kidney stones, even though I kept explaining what was going on. When my surgical site bled through the gauze on the bed, the nurse just said “I guess I was wrong,” which was frustrating since I had told him that was happening already. Things completely changed when a female ER doctor came in. She looked me in the eye, told me she was honored to care for me

Can't even leave a voicemail for the people i need help from. Go to make an appointment, link sends me to a different department. Was giving a PCP and they never once have reached out to set up an appointment or contact me. Do better.
