Franciscan Pharmacy Tacoma

We have made numerous visits here to pick up several medications. The refill process is easy to manage on MyChart to include Rx requests. All the employees I have encountered have been really nice and helpful in helping us to receive the Rx discounts which truly assists in the reduction of copays. The wait times are reasonable, usually less than 15 minutes. I love that they offer a variety of snacks and candies. I usually grab some for the road! LOL!

I have no idea what to say. Every one in of them assured me that I would get reminders when I needed medicine or when something was filled. That never happened. What's worse, is I have walked down to this place twice in the last 3 weeks and they have told me that a prescription was waiting for prior authorization from my insurance company. The problem is, my insurance company had already given them a prior authorization for half the amount of pills, but they didn't even tell me that even though I let them know that I was out. So I've been going without my medication for 3 weeks because they can't figure out how to use the system that they told me was available for me when I signed up. Supposedly it is a simple text. While the staff is generally pleasant, be careful when you make your pharmacy purchases!! Even if a purchase is made on the ignorance of their staff, YOU will be stuck with the cost! They will basically shrug their shoulders… essentially “Oh well! Not their problem once it leaves their hands!”

Occasionally my doctor will send one of my prescriptions here due to insurance, but for some reason this pharmacy is the only one that takes an ENTIRE WEEK to transfer an Rx order over. I kid you not tri-care pharmacies are more timely! On top of that just got off the third phone call this week with them. They say they requested the order from my provider but she just won’t get back to them- BECAUSE FOR THE THIRD TIME JUST THIS MORNTH FOR THIS ONE MEDICATION IM TELLING YOU TO TRANSFER IT FROM THE OTHER PHARMACY. Will they appologize for their mistake? No, Emily on the phone just continued arguing that is my/my provider/the other pharmacy’s fault. Asked to speak with her supervisor or anyone above her but she says they will not be in until TUESDAY (it’s Friday at 8am). No customer service n

I called thinking I had a complicated question and Christina took care of me with ease and no hesitation. It was easy to set up a new patient profile and have her request my prescriptions from Walgreens. So happy to be an employee and patient at Franciscan! This was the nicest pharmacy I’ve ever called!
