Franciscan Medical Clinic - Canyon Road

I had a great experience with the front desk staff, the receptionist, the nursing/PA/NP staff, and finally my doctor. Had to wait a little while, but then I arrived early. Everyone was friendly but professional. My doctor is an endocrinologist, so my visit is pretty straight-forward and he completed my exam, checked my labs, and very carefully explained his findings, his recommendations, and why he thought the proposed plan was best for me. Questions answered, follow-up scheduled, and on my way home. It's a very nice facility and easy to find. For modern health care - five stars.

Urgent care is a joke. Went in with my knuckle sliced to the bone (L&I work related), they stitched it up without checking for further damage. 7 days later stitches came out and doctor checked the box saying "treatment concluded" on L&I paperwork, again without checking for further damage. They now refuse to change this, leaving me with a crippled hand that L&I can't help me with without a lawyer because their doctor closed the case. I did go that website, filed a complaint, and nothing happened.

So I've been coming to this location for my monthly blood draws for the past couple years. I absolutely hated coming there because the technician doing the bloodwork was an absolute downright jerk every time I would come in. Her attitude was one that you would assume she was just having a REALLY bad day, but no. She was like this all the time, no matter what. Trying to make small talk with her I've learned would just make things worse. I even tried commenting on the weather one day just to have her come back with a snarky remark about, "if you don't like the weather you should move". I never complained out of fear as she was the one poking me with needles and didn't want to piss her off further. Also, she was SO slow! Waiting over a hour when there we're only two people ahead of me at time

For the most part this place is very well kept up. 99% of the employees are polite and professional. The doctors and physicians assistants seem to actually care. And there's a sufficient amount of parking. The one negative would be that they are very very busy. The good thing is you can go back home or sit out in your car and they will call you when it's your turn.
