I was referred to Dr Gonzalez and Fort Myers DPC several months ago for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and chose to try BioTe treatments. I had tried BioTe in the past with a different doctor and stopped treatment for several months because I knew my hormone levels were not correct and when I brought it up I felt I was being dismissed by the doctor. I have been an RN for 20 years and have worked in several clinics. The DPC model is different than any other experience that I have had as a patient and a nurse. Dr Gonzalez is kind, patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. She was able to spend more time with me then any other doctor I have been to. She answers questions and explains things fully. I told her a symptom that I have that is not typical and instead of brushing me off, I could see her thinking through the mechanism and she thought it was feasible.
