For Eyes

I had a mixed experience here. While Dr. Janikowski was fantastic , they have a policy of withholding specific information (like my PD ) unless you commit to purchasing frames directly from them. I tried to make it work with a pair in store but did not find a pair that worked. I value transparency and the freedom to shop around, so being "locked in" felt a bit coercive. If you’re looking for a place that provides your full medical info without strings attached, you might want to look elsewhere.

Dr Dawn is great at defining the prescription and Eddie and Lauren are trusted in getting me the best price using in store promotions and my vision plans. I've been getting my glasses here for years because of their excellent service and prices.

I had an outstanding experience during my recent eye exam! The doctor was comprehensive, not only with the exam itself but also with ensuring my glasses fitting was just right. They took the time to explain all of the different options available, which I especially appreciated since I work on the computer every day and need the best solution for eye comfort and protection. I never felt rushed—every question I had was answered clearly, and I left feeling confident that I made the right choice for my eye health. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for professional, attentive, and patient-centered care!

My daughter was seen by Dr Janikowski and ended up with a slight rx. It was recommended, but not overly pushed onto us, to get and it was nice to know it was an option if needed. We did end up getting the classes and the board was clearer! I appreciated not just being told get the glasses and that since it wasn't that dire of an prescription. She also did a contact exam at a later date and recommended to use those for her horse back riding if she was interested. Now Dr. Jankiowski is the only optometrist she will see! Especially for her contacts!

When I made the appointment, everything seemed fine. However, I arrived 5 minutes late after getting my kids to come in. As a result, I was informed that I couldn’t be seen because of my lateness. I inquired about the grace period in Illinois for such situations, but she informed me that I was supposed to come 15 minutes early because I needed to fill out paperwork. This led to a brief argument that lasted about 3 additional minutes before I and my son were finally seen. During this time, I had to explain that we had two appointments back-to-back. I had already filled out the paperwork online, but my son couldn’t do so. We went to the office to complete his paperwork, and after all this, I was never informed that I would be charged anything until the very last minute. To make matters wors
