Five Points at Lake Highlands

My mother was placed here September 25, 2025. And if there was a way to give this place a zero. I would. The staff was advised that she needed medical and dental assistance. Five months later, she still has received either. I have watched the staff change. That seems to an over used excuse. "We dropped the ball". February 5th, I was told my mother was finally seen by a dentist. They went as far as to ask if I wanted her teeth clean. (She wasn't seen!) I called every day asking for a return call. Each day, my request was escalated with the same results. NO CALLS OR RESULTS. I went to the facility and was greeted by a rude and unprofessional female at the front desk. After multiple requests to speak with an administrator. She still redirected me to the social worker. Once

I was going to hold off reviewing this horrible facility until all the investigations are done. But I can’t stand a place that doesn’t take responsibility for their workers actions. I found one 1 person that seemed to care. Robert. The director had no empathy for what happened to my mother in law. She left there after 5 days with a black eye, bruising on her forehead, top of her head and arms. Rash on her legs. They took blood without our knowledge and for no reason. Medication was missed. Dentures busted. Clothes she was wearing wasn’t her own. Shoes missing. Not bathed one time in 5 days. No incident reports filed even though a worker admitted hitting her with the door according to Robert. He is the manager and told this to me and both my sons while the assistant director was there. Facility has a very clean appeal upon entering. All staff greeted us and were very helpful with all needs and questions. The lunch meal smelled delicious and was placed very complimenting. Residents seemed happy and well tended too. I was overall happy with each experience during my visit and I would recommend anyone to visit if you are looking for rehab or permanent placement for a loved one.

I have a good friend that was recently placed there for rehabilitation. He can't get anyone to assist him to use the bathroom. They wouldn't get him a wheelchair. I afraid for his life. He just had major surgery and needs help.

Beautiful facility that is maintained properly and has a homelike environment. Administration team is wonderful and truly put their best effort in patient care. Staff is professional and attentive. New administrator, Bradley Romero, is a wonderful patient advocate, professional, and is very approachable if you have any questions or concerns regarding your loved one.
