Fitchburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

The care is decent, no signs of abuse or neglect and it looks like the staff does what it can. However, contacting a patient can be an absolute nightmare. There is one patient phone for each wing, A and C, so that's one phone for 36 patients per wing. The problem is that they don't manage the use of the phone at all. They often cut off calls between patients and their proxies, their loved ones, etc. The staff also has the annoying habit of hanging up when they don't immediately know how to deal with a dropped or interrupted call. Most rehabs can manage at least one uninterrupted phone call between patient and relatives. Here? I'm lucky if I get one clear call with the patient I proxy for in a week. This "system" of theirs is wholly inadequate.

I called the facility to see if they had an opening for my brother. The social worker Leah answered and she gave me the admission persons number. She was super helpful and nice. She then transferred me over to the business office and she helped me with my questions regarding Insurance. Absolutely happy with the service. I hope I can get my brother in here. Loved how kind and quick they answered.

If you care for your family members don't leave them here, they may have some nice staff but the place is disgusting, dirt, the bathrooms don't work and broken. The food is not healthy more sandwiches and soup. The kitchen looks dirt. My father lasted 24 hours.

My husband was hospitalized for a bad car accident, and upon leaving he was to go to an inpatient rehabilitation facility. We researched different places and I read the reviews for Fitchburg Rehab and went with them. Such a wonderful choice. All of the nurses and care aides are so caring, attentive, kind, truly wonderful. He was there for a little over a month. They were very attentive and patient and sweet to my husband and myself. We grew to really adore the staff. Such incredible people. We are so grateful for all of them!! Much respect for all of you at Fitch Rehab. Thank you for who you are and what you do!!!
