First Baptist Medical Center

My doctor's office recommended this hospital to me after I canceled my elective procedure with Medical City Dallas due a very bad error on their part. Luckily FBMC had an OR room available on short notice. From preop to discharge, everything was wonderful. No issues at all. The lady who greeted me at the main desk, registration and the nursing staff were all wonderful. I had a new nurse helping me in pre-op but she had a good preceptor and seemed very competent. No issues getting my IV the first time. The overnight nursing shift that I had were great as well. They didn't come in every hour waking me up, I was able to rest and the couple of times I did call them, they were there in only a few minutes. Lots of upsetting surprises. Uninformed consent. Husband went in for turbinectomy and got a septoplasty with it. Made me walk around the outside of the building to retrieve husband instead of walking me through while our driver met us around back. Terrible communication.

I am sure they are a great Medical Center, however they don't pay their invoices, especially to small businesses. I have tried for over a year to get a 5k invoice paid with no luck. Sadly, they don't seem financially viable. Beware!

Dr Alexander has an amazing wealth of knowledge. His staff is the most caring and compassionate we have run across over the years. First Baptist Medical Center truly is a place like no other.
