Family Veterinary Care of Oakdale

My dog, William "Wilson" Young first met Mel Tanner sometime in 2015 as a stray. I rescued him later that year, and the team at this practice has keep him safe, happy and healthy ever since. From routine checkups and vaccinations to teeth extractions and kidney problems, Family Veterinary Care has been kind and comforting to me and my dog every step of the way these last 10 years. When I see Dr Tanner or Dr Singh in the grocery store they are like family. Wilson has learned to love them too.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Singh. He is one of the most caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate veterinarians I have ever met. My dogs are like my children, and on more than one occasion I’ve been overwhelmed—sometimes more than he probably should have had to deal with. Yet he has always been incredibly patient, kind, and reassuring, even managing to calm me down when that’s no easy task. I am deeply grateful to him, not only as an exceptional doctor but as a truly wonderful human being.

The doctors and staff are so amazing! They do their job with their whole heart and it shows. The compassion understanding and knowledge is greatly appreciated. I have never experienced such love for animals anywhere else. Their prices are affordable too. Thank you Dr. Tanner and Dr. Singh for all that you do! And Thank to the staff! You all are Angels and appreciated more than you know! And Larry is happy to have found you all!!

Love Dr. Dudley, she is so informative and great at her job. This place got us in on a Monday morning very quickly on the urgent care schedule. First time patient here and I am very happy with this place. They don't rush you, and they let you ask all the questions you want. They took very good care of my tiny 104 pound doggy. Everyone that I encountered was friendly and welcoming. The nice lady at the front desk has a lot of patience!!!!! They also are not outrageous in price like most places in this whole area. I really appreciate this place being here and doing what they do.

Amazing experience! My dog wasn’t a patient and I called last night and left a message asking if they had any appointments for the next day (Saturday) as my dog wasn’t coughing and her normal vet couldn’t get her in until Monday. They called me before they opened on Saturday and got me in right away. She now has antibiotics and won’t have to suffer through the weekend. Dr. Tanner was very nice and will definitely come back!
