Family Health Centers of SWFL - LaBelle Office

Slowest office I’ve ever been to! Waited an hour and a half to see the pediatrician, then went back in the room and waited another HOUR!! There’s not a single book or toy for kids while they wait so the waiting room is full of unhappy kids and stressed out parents. The doctor didn’t even acknowledge the long wait and was in and out in 5 min. Barely even looking over my 6 month old before sending someone else in to do shots. Why are they so slow when they can see a baby in 5 min?

We will be switching pediatrician offices. Today was the 3rd appt in a row that we have had to wait over an hour past our appt time to be seen. Drs Ayash and Castillo, as well as the office staff are always kind, but corporate really needs to hire another pediatrician and/or make some major changes to their scheduling expectations. You also can't get a referral without going through the 'referral dept' which could take a week to have them call you to even get started scheduling with a specialist. I know healthcare has historically been hard to come by in LaBelle....but we can and should expect better.

We went for my daughter’s yearly checkup (My daughter has Autism she is unable to talk or care or feed herself) we had to sit a hour and explain why we decided to homeschool my daughter (not that this had anything to do with her visit) the pediatrician would make comments like “my kid goes to school and she’s fine” even laughing at times of my daughters health condition. I will definitely be finding a new place to take my daughter to.

I absolutely love Dr. Hanin Ayash. She is the best pediatrician I have ever encountered through not only my children but all the different pediatricians my nephew's, niece's & cousin's have. She is so patient, & caring. My kids just adore her. She cares for you on such a personal level. I don't ever feel like we are just another patient. She truly gets to know you as her patient, always remembering personal details about you & your family. I pray she always keeps her practice in LaBelle I couldn't imagine ever having to switch to another pediatrician. Every single time I leave the office I catch myself raving about how amazing she is & how much we love having her as our pediatrician she is without a doubt the best!!!!

We saw Dr. Ayash for the first time yesterday. She was extremely patient with my daughter (4 years old) while giving her a physical. She let me "lead" with calming my child when she was afraid, and let my daughter put her stethoscope on my chest, then her own leg, and her hand, and eventually my daughter let her listen to her chest and back without a fight. (She hates to be touched by strangers, and she hates anyone touching her ears with a passion.) She spoke to my daughter when she was receptive to it, and me when necessary. She took her time with us and made us feel comfortable. Her exam was thorough without feeling invasive and quick without feeling rushed. My daughter needed a couple shots, and Nurse Bea (I'm so sorry if I got your name wrong, it just all happened so fast.) is amazing
