Family First Health Clinic, PA

I started going to Family First to see Susan Herrington after many references about a year ago. She was wonderful but ended up retiring a few months ago. I decided to stay with this office. Since then a new receptionist started working there. Rude isn’t the word for her. I started to dread going to my appointments due to her treatment of myself and other clients. Although the doctors were very nice, I have seen 4 different doctors in 4 months. Once I waited close to 2 hours for my scheduled appointment. The next time I opted to see an available doctor because, once again, the doctor was running at least an hour late. Also…They expect you to fill out multiple forms EVERY VISIT! I have been coming to this clinic for 2 years. I have never had a complaint until today. My appointment was at 11:30 for a follow-up. I arrived at 11:25 and was told she was running an hour behind. my only options were to reschedule or book an appointment at the other office. The receptionist was bordering on rude. I asked how long the wait was and she said an hour. Then she came back and said my options was be put in a room and wait, reschedule, or book at the other office. She said, I could not wait in my car because I would be skipped(?). I told her I would be put in a room because I had already allotted this time and committed to it. She came back 15 minutes later, and said my wait was now an hour and a 1/4. Which means my appointment would be 1 1/2 hours later than originally schedu

Have had previous health care provider at Oleander Dr location but she retired. She was the best. Today I showed for my Appointment and was told running 1 hour behind. I rescheduled and left. Then received call putting me with another provider. Question is if provider is constantly running behind why not change way of scheduling. Also been patient for years and told I have to fill out pages of paperwork every visit asking about the same history.

Scheduled my kids for wellness visits-- to establish a new patients and they billed incorrectly. A rep from our insurance company even called with me on a three way call to try to help resolve the billing problem and the billing person was beyond unprofessional and rude to the insurance rep and refused to change the bill. She said because she wrote a prescription for my son's asthma rescue inhaler it made it a different type of visit that cost me $350 instead of the $0 that a wellness visit should've cost me. That was never conveyed to me or I wouldn't have had her wrote the script. Also didn't explain why my daughter's visit was also charged at the $350 too. I like Dr Coates-Gal but the rudeness of their office staff and billing issues/errors/refusal to make it right made me not go back.

I love all the staff even though it’s new to me. I followed my primary care physician, Jessica THASITIS. She is WONDERFUL!!
