Family Allergy & Asthma - York, PA

The staff is amazing! Love the nurses, front desk, doctors and Nurse Practitioners … my problem is with the hours. The company keeps changing the hours for shots making it almost impossible to get there. The hours are 8/8:30 - 3/4:30. My son is the patient, and has been a patient since we moved to York at 3, he’s 12 (9 years and 9 years of changes that have not been in the best interest of our family). He gets on the bus for school at 7:40 and gets off the bus at 4/4:15 pm making it impossible for me to get his them for his regular monthly shots without taking him out of school. In addition, I have two other children, who also ride the bus. I love the staff but the company keeps changing their hours. And it’s not conducive to working families / children in schools.

I used to sing this office's praises, until it was bought out. Since then, the only thing keeping me there is (1) the wonderful staff and (2) avoiding the hassle/headache that comes with switching allergy offices. The later, however, is proving to be much more palatable than the even greater headache that the ever-changing office hours create weekly. When the office started operating under Family Allergy and Asthma, the injection room hours immediately shrunk. Fine. Change is inevitable, and I understand the need to be more lean and efficient. However, with this change, there were no hours later than 4pm, and 8am was the earliest you could walk in the door. We had a great experience at Family Allergy and Asthma! My son was being tested for allergies and everything was done pain free and efficiently by the medical assistant and by our Doctor. We had a medical assistant by the name of Brandy and we had Dr. Amy Auerbach as our Doctor. They were both very nice and explained everything they would be doing throughout the appointment. We will continue to visit your practice. Thank you for taking great care of my son!

This practice does not send a billing statement for balances under $5.00. Then they have the nerve to send a statement with a notice that the “account is seriously past due and at risk of being sent to collections if not paid immediately.” This was the first statement I received for my balance from 7/2/25 through 10/9/25 when the balance surpassed the $5.00. I DO NOT APPRECIATE THIS since I pay my bills on time! Also the nurse who administered my shot today gave me a hard time because I didn’t know I was supposed to come once a week for 4 weeks after my last injection. I WAS NOT TOLD AT THE TIME that this was necessary.

Staff is always friendly - my only complaint is the shot room schedule changes - it’s hard to plan shots when you work a full time job and then the shot room hours constantly change.
